Fictional studio / Skootr showcase

Lighting design studio

Light, drawn with care.

We design lighting that shapes how a room is used and understood: a warmer room after seven, a shelf line that guides purchase, a single beam where attention should fall.

Lighting concepts for independent restaurants, boutique shops and home studios.

01

What we do

Three ways to bring the studio into your room.

Concept studies

Two or three abstract light studies for one room, delivered as boards you can pin to the wall. We fix the light level, the color temperature, and the one surface that should stay dark. You react to the light, not to a render of a room you do not know.

Fixture selection

A short list, never a catalogue. Each pick states what it does in the plan, what it replaces, and the maintenance burden it adds. We prefer three or five fixtures that earn their space over a wall of identical downlights.

Light scheduling

A room is used in shifts: prep, service, last table, cleaning. We draw the dial plan, what drops and what holds at each shift, and which circuit carries it. The room keeps its face through the whole night without a flicker.

02

Selected projects

Three concept projects, drawn end to end. Open one to see the full sheet.

The Amber Counter

A bar counter lit like the last hour of a long shift: low, warm, and aimed so the customer's hands are the brightest point in the house.

Gallery Nocturne

One wall, three tracks, and a dark corner that holds the whole room. The light moves with the exhibition cycle and never touches the glass.

Home Studio, North Wall

A small work table, one pendant, and a north window that argues with it all morning. The plan gives each source its own shift so they trade hands rather than cancel out.

03

How a project runs

Three steps, drawn to the same scale every time.

  1. Measure and mark

We walk the room twice: at opening, and at its quietest hour. Walls get chalk points, surfaces get a temperature, and we note what the room already does well.

  2. Draw the studies

Two or three abstract light studies, not renders. Each sheet fixes one light level, one color temperature, and one surface that stays dark. You react to the light.

  3. Hand over the dial

The final sheet lists the picks, the circuits, and the shift plan. You keep the dial plan on the wall and the maintenance card goes home with it. That is the closing.

Questions

Asked often, answered plainly.

Is this a real studio?

No. Current Studio is a fictional studio built as a design showcase for Skootr. No real business, team, or address stands behind this site.

Will anything actually be booked?

No. This page has no booking or inquiry system. The brief form assembles a plain-text brief and downloads it on your device. Nothing is transmitted to any server, and no appointment is made.

What kind of room does it fit?

Rooms with a point of focus: a counter, a wall, a table. Independent restaurants, small shops, and home studios give the best briefs, because the light has one job to do.

What is on the delivered sheet?

The sheet lists the picks, the circuits, and the shift plan. It is a working document, not a catalogue.
